Community Services

Community Services

RAN Mission provides an array of services to assist members of our community who may be struggling with poverty, homelessness, addiction and mental health concerns. We provide a safe, structured and shame-free environment for people to regain their physical, mental, relational and spiritual health.

Weekday Drop-In

The Drop-In is open 9:30am-11:30am Monday through Friday (excluding Stat holidays). Coffee is always on! Coffee is .25 cents with all proceeds going to Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.

As well, there is laundry, shower and emergency food hamper services available.

Access is also available for guests to a Community Nurse.

The Wearhouse, our clothing distribution center, is open 9:30am-11:30am Monday through Friday (excluding Stat holidays). Because of the generosity of our community, gently used and clean clothing is available to members of our community without charge.

Family Feast (Dinner)

The Family Feast is open to families Monday through Saturday night at 6:00pm. A carefully prepared meal is served by gracious hosts in a safe and caring environment.

Community Dinner

The Community Dinner is open to the general public at 7:00pm Monday through Saturday. This is a great time of connection, caring and community engagement as we eat and share together.

Community Garden

Located one block from the Mission, the Community Garden is available without charge to members of our community between April and October of each year. This is truly a community project with a number of businesses, community groups and individuals working together on a sustainable food project to serve not only the needs of people who use the garden plots but also RAN Mission who makes use of 50% of the crops grown.

1820 House

1820 House is our street church service that is open to all in the community at 6:00pm on Sunday nights. A meal is provided along with music, worship and a reflection from God’s Word.

Extreme Weather Shelter

Between November 1 and March 31, RAN Mission opens up 26 shelter beds in partnership with BC Housing when the weather dips to 0 degrees or colder or other extreme weather conditions exist. The safe-stay shelter is low barrier and provides for the safety and comfort of those who come. Breakfast, showers and limited laundry services are available.

Street Outreach

We have dedicated street and community outreach workers to come alongside individuals who may struggle to find connection in ours or other community services. We work hard to build trusting and caring relationships through which effective health and housing connections can be facilitated.
