Meet Selina: Intake & Assessment Specialist
For over two years, Selina has been a cornerstone of Ruth & Naomi’s men’s and women’s recovery programs. 🌟
A typical day for Selina includes:
✅ Connecting with service providers, doctors, probation officers, and legal professionals
✅ Conducting interviews and intakes for recovery applicants
✅ Facilitating men’s groups and one-on-one support sessions
✅ Bridging outside resources to support residents
What Selina loves most about her role:
“Watching residents grow into their authentic selves through recovery. Interviews with applicants are especially meaningful—I’m honored to witness their vulnerability and hope for a fresh start.” 🧡
Outside of work, Selina is a single parent to her 8-year-old son Malakai. Together, they enjoy fishing, building Lego, and adventuring. Selina is also a student at SFU, balancing her studies, personal growth, and a deep connection to her faith.
Selina’s dedication and heart for this work inspire us every day! 🙌
