Team Member Feature: Dr. John Gray
John joined Ruth & Naomi’s Mission in 2012 as the Director of Clinical Services, helping launch Chilliwack’s first residential addiction treatment program. Starting with just three men, the program has grown immensely! Over the years, John’s roles expanded to include shelters, human resources, programs, and pastoral care.
In 2022, he left to serve in Northern BC but stayed connected, providing remote support. Returning to Chilliwack in 2024, John now works part-time, leading recovery programs and supporting clients on their journeys. 💪
With over 45 years of experience in pastoral ministry, clinical counseling, and leadership, John brings incredible expertise. He holds a B.R.E., M.M. in counseling, and a Ph.D. in counseling and conflict containment. 🎓
Outside of work, John enjoys turning discarded pallets into beautiful home décor—much like his work at RAN, transforming lives others might overlook. 🛠️
“Want to see Jesus? Look into the faces of those we serve,” John shares. His passion for life-changing transformation is truly inspiring! 🧡
